Overview:
The Site Superintendent ensures projects are delivered successfully and on time. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to define project needs; oversee team performance; monitor projects from planning to completion, including budget and schedule; follow quality standards; and ensure the safety and security of the construction site. This position requires out-of-town travel and overnight stays.

- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, etc. to determine project needs

- Set performance goals and deadlines
- Plan installation processes
- Track costs and ensure the project is on budget
- Supervise and hold the team accountable, provide constructive feedback as needed
- Manage subcontractors on-site
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards
- Keep track of material stock, orders and equipment on-site
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
- Communicate with the office to resolve on-site issues and emergencies
Required:
- Excellent Communication skills
- 3+ years experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
- Well organized and able to work effectively under pressure
- In-depth understanding of solar installation operations and processes
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to lead and inspire
- Ability to travel out of town for up to 5 days at a time
Preferred:
- Prior solar and/or electrical experience
- Understanding of solar energy systems and roofing
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted
- Able to work on high roof areas, both sloped and flat
- Capable of safely climbing ladders
- Capable of working in a tethered harness
