Tampa Bay Solar has long been a leader in delivering impactful solar energy solutions across the state of Florida. In partnership with Renaissance Arts and Education (RAE) and Regenerative Shift, Tampa Bay Solar is embarking on one of the largest rooftop solar projects in Florida history.

Currently in the design and permitting phases, the project is set to generate up to 2.0 Megawatts (MW) of photovoltaic energy, with 3,150 solar panels. The system will produce over 3.8 million kWh annually, significantly reducing energy costs while serving as a model for sustainability in education. The project is slated for completion in Summer 2025.

This project is one of the first to pursue the Domestic Content Bonus Credit under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This credit incentivizes the use of U.S. manufactured components, providing a 10% adder to the Section 48E Investment Tax Credit, resulting in a total tax credit of 40% of the system cost for the Manatee School for the Arts. By significantly reducing RAE’s carbon footprint and long-term energy costs, Tampa Bay Solar is helping the Manatee School for the Arts set an example of sustainability for nonprofits and schools nationwide.
