Solar Island Energy serves clients across the Bahamas and Caribbean region to improve their environmental and business performance through solar energy and energy efficiency. We are an licensed engineering company specializing in the planning, design, delivery, quality control, and management of PV microgrid projects. Since 2007 we have built a portfolio of over 700+ PV and 80+ battery plants and island microgrid projects. We are co-authors of both “Solar Under Storm“ design manuals, trainer for NABCEP, and consultant to NREL and the World Bank on hurricane best practices. We won the 2021 and 2022 awards for Best Solar Microgrid Project at the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum for our projects on Highbourne Cay, Bahamas, and for the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank in Basseterre, St Kitts.
