Position Summary
We are helping to accelerate the transition to clean energy by working directly with enterprise level companies, small businesses, and non-profit organizations to consult on corporate ESG initiatives and implement renewable energy projects. This position is responsible for managing the full life cycle of commercial solar projects from contract execution to final commissioning. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all pre-construction activities related to the project, coordinating and preparing internal construction management

Responsibilities
General Scope
- Manage behind the meter solar projects ranging from 100kW to 5,000 kW
- Act as an account representative to serve customers with national portfolios
- Maintain databases and utilize software platforms for information exchange
- Achieve project specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Preconstruction Scope
- Collaborate with project development and sales staff to provide pre-sale planning support
- Prepare preliminary project budgets and coordinate with vendors for RFQs
- Maintain budget tracking with accounting department to review budget vs actuals and identify budget risks
- Prequalify suppliers, subcontractors, and vendor partners
- Maintain database of suppliers, subcontractors, and vendor partners
- Support due diligence for pre-sale AHJ requirements, permitting, utility compliance, and legal review
- Review contract for requirements, milestones, and insurance documentation
- Ensure insurance COIs are issued to project Owners
Construction Scope
- Manage full lifecycle of commercial projects from contract execution to construction and commissioning
- Work with internal departments to coordinate budgets, estimating, engineering, construction scheduling, and commissioning
- Develop project specific schedules and Gantt charts to provide detailed progress and labor reports
- Meet or exceed project schedules and deadlines
- Manage AHJ communication, permitting, and inspection scheduling
- Work with internal staff to place and execute project purchase orders for equipment and materials
- Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors through construction to ensure milestones are reached
- Perform regular check-ins with project superintendents and construction managers
- Provide progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required
- Manage interconnection applications and submittal process
- Facilitate project closeout requirements
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 Annually
