FlaSEIA goes to Tallahassee!

FlaSEIA members are invited to join leadership and staff in Tallahassee to spend a day at the Capitol to discuss FlaSEIA’s position on issues important to our industry.

Having a strong showing from our members at the Capitol sends the message that FlaSEIA is a robust association with the backing of a talented and involved membership. The tentative agenda is as follows:

Tuesday, January 27, 2026

Plan to arrive in Tallahassee late afternoon/early evening. Dinner on your own.

Wednesday, January 28, 2026

No later than 7:30 am – check out and depart hotel for state capitol building. Give yourself plenty of time to travel to the Capitol and go through security – lines can be long.

8:00 – 9:00 am – meet in cafeteria (Earley’s at the Capitol, lower level): we will gather together to discuss the day’s activities.

9:00 am to 3:00 pm (as needed) – appointments with Senators, Representatives, and Aides

Note: Everyone should schedule visits with their elected officials prior to January 28 – the earlier the better! It is recommended to confirm your appointments as we get closer to January 28 (example: Monday, January 26).

You don't need to be proficient in politics to participate; all you need is a desire to make your point of view heard by the elected officials who can help our industry. We'll prepare you with the tools necessary to speak with legislators.
